…… TOUR DE MANC USES CYCLING AS A FORCE FOR GOOD IN GREATER MANCHESTER
Tour de Manc has no employees and everything is done on a voluntary basis. We provide significant funds for Greater Manchester charities, projects and good causes and you will often see this twitter tag on our posts #all4charity
Our driving principles are to “make a difference to the lives of Manc people”, “encourage cycling for health” and “be inclusive”.
THE TOUR DE MANC CHARITABLE TRUST IS INDEPENDENT OF THE TOUR DE MANC NOT FOR PROFIT COMPANY
All the surpluses/notional profits from our activities are transferred to the Tour de Manc (TDM) Charitable Trust, where their experienced Trustees decide on headline charities, projects and good causes and the amounts to be dispersed. These headline charities, projects and good causes are carefully selected by our team of trustees, who are also cyclists, considering applications/requests from the good causes themselves, following the charities' funding policy.
In the autumn of each year the trustees of the charitable trust fund will meet and formally agree which Manc headline charities, projects and good causes will benefit from our funds.
Once complete, please scan and send to charity@tourdemanc.co.uk or post to Alastair Jones, Tour de Manc, Blaze Hill Cottage, Wilmslow Road, Prestbury, SK10 4LG.
